The Pueblo Drive-In

Yes, we are sitting on a blow-up Budweiser couch in a Ford truck. What can we say? We do it up redneck style!

Dance!

When life gets crazy, stressful, chaotic or just plain unmanageable, dance your socks off! Put a feel-good song on the radio and boogie! Don't ever let life get so busy that you don't take time to dance with your husband in the living room (even if he's already changed out of his date clothes into his PJs!).

Welcome to May?

Ok, I'm no meteorologist, but last time I checked, April showers were supposed to bring May flowers ... not snow. But today, the 1st day of May, 2008, it has been snowing. All day. So much for global warming, eh?
(Disclaimer: I did not take this photo. Someone in Monument, CO did. But it is a photo from today's snow storm!)

The One-Year-Old Cake

I know it's a bit late (we've now been married 15 months), but I thought I should clear up a common wedding-cake misconception. Despite what people say, the top-tier of your wedding cake that has been sitting in the corner of your freezer for 365 long, cold days is actually edible. And tasty, I might add. We thought we'd take the obligatory nibble for tradition's sake, but we gobbled up the whole thing!

April 11

Today, April 11, is a very significant day for me. Three years ago, today, I started my current job. And two years ago, today, I had my first date with my husband. Life is great and God is good!

The Right Stuff

It's official. The New Kids on the Block are getting back together, producing a new album and planning to go on tour in the fall. Say it isn't so?!?! I've nicknamed them the "Old Kids Who've Been Around the Block." Oh, how they take me back. Be sure to check out all the news at http://www.nkotb.com/. Not that I've visited the site or anything. Right.

Fun Times at Casa Bonita

Nothing says "Mmm...Mmm...Good" like a bottle of Vomit Control. This was actually out on display - I'm guessing by accident - at Casa Bonita. Again, very classy. And you gotta love how it's beautifully placed right next to a piece of candy and a flower arrangement. (Notice that they spell vomit, "Vom-It." Not sure what that's about.)
